This showcase is open to all unsigned artists and general delegates at the 2009 convention in Cincinnati.

Bishop Charles Craig Passes — Bishop Charles A. Craig III of the legendary Craig Brothers, and GMWA Board member, passed away on July 6th in Detroit, after suffering a heart attack. GOSPElflava.com expresses sympathies to his wife, Wanda, son Charles "Volley" Craig, brother James Linzey Craig, as well as many other friends and family. (July 8, 2008)
Gospel's Glenn Burleigh Passes — Renowned composer and pianist Glenn E. Burleigh passed away in his home in Oklahoma City on Dec 11th. Burleigh, known for gospel compositions based on scripture and with arrangements in the form of the spiritual with classical accompaniment, crossed racial lines with his work. He may be best remembered for the hit song, "Order My Steps" recorded by the Women of Worship of the GMWA. GOSPELflava.com joins with many others in expressing sorrow and offering up prayer for God to comfort his family and friends. (Dec 12, 2007)
GOSPELflava.com Columnist Ms. Willie McClendon Honored — Veteran gospel radio announcer and GOSPELflava.com quartet columnist Ms. Willie McClendon was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame on Sept. 14, 2008 during a ceremony at the Hall's Twenty Forth Anniversary Banquet. Ms. Willie is an announcer at Glory 1260 WNOO in Chattanooga TN, and is also the financial secretary of the GMWA Gospel Announcers Guild. The Broadcasters Hall of Fame is located in Akron, OH, and was founded by the late C.S. "Doc" Williams in 1982, with the purpose being to memorialize the Golden Age of Broadcasting and recognize and honor those who have made a notable contribution to the industry. To be eligible for induction, the candidate must have made a significant contribution to the radio or television industry as a performer, station owner, manager, producer, or other distinguished personnel. Final selection of inductees are made annually by the board of trustees. GOSPELflava.com proudly congratulates Ms. Willie on the honor! (September 18, 2008)
